Ralph Lauren’s Rare Ferrari F50 Listed for £5.9 Million

Ralph Lauren’s Rare Ferrari F50 Hits the Market for £5.9 Million

One of the most coveted modern-era Ferraris, once owned by fashion icon Ralph Lauren, is now up for sale, and it’s attracting serious attention from collectors around the world. This 1995 Ferrari F50, finished in a striking Giallo Modena (Yellow Modena), carries an asking price of £5.9 million and stands as a pristine example of Ferrari’s V12 supercar legacy.

A Supercar With Serious Pedigree

Ferrari produced just 349 examples of the F50 between 1995 and 1997, making it one of the rarest and most sought-after models from the Maranello marque. Unlike its predecessor, the F40, the F50 featured a naturally aspirated 4.7-litre V12 engine derived directly from Ferrari’s Formula One technology, capable of revving beyond 8,000 rpm and producing 520 bhp.

This particular car has a unique provenance, having spent part of its life in the hands of legendary American designer Ralph Lauren, a long-time Ferrari enthusiast and collector. The car has just 5,400 miles on the clock and remains in immaculate condition, complete with its original books, tools, and Ferrari Classiche certification.

Giallo Modena: A Rare Colour for a Rare Ferrari

While Rosso Corsa dominates the classic Ferrari colour spectrum, this F50 stands out with its Giallo Modena finish, a colour reportedly applied to only a handful of F50s worldwide. The bright yellow hue enhances the dramatic styling of the carbon fibre bodywork, making this particular example especially desirable.

Collector Interest at an All-Time High

The classic Ferrari market has seen strong momentum in recent years, with a surge of interest from both traditional collectors and a new wave of younger enthusiasts. With its limited production, Formula 1 heritage, and A-list ownership, this F50 ticks all the boxes for investment-grade collectibility.

Why This F50 Matters

Ex-Ralph Lauren ownership adds prestige and provenance

Rare Giallo Modena paintwork

Low mileage and full Ferrari Classiche certification

Increasing collector demand for 1990s supercars

As more high-net-worth collectors look to secure iconic 1990s supercars, especially those with celebrity connections and impeccable maintenance records, this Ferrari F50 could be snapped up quickly.

Ferrari Wins 2025 Le Mans with Historic Kubica Victory

Ferrari Claims Victory at the 2025 24 Hours of Le Mans with Historic Win for Kubica and AF Corse

The 2025 edition of the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans has concluded in dramatic fashion, with Ferrari’s No. 83 AF Corse team securing a thrilling overall victory, their third consecutive win at the prestigious endurance race.

Driven by Robert Kubica, Ye Yifei, and Phil Hanson, the Ferrari 499P Hypercar crossed the finish line after 387 laps of the Circuit de la Sarthe, narrowly edging out the Porsche Penske No. 6 car by just 14 seconds in one of the closest finishes in recent years.

A Victory of Firsts

This win marks a number of historic milestones:

Robert Kubica becomes the first Polish driver to win the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Ye Yifei becomes the first Chinese driver to claim an overall Le Mans victory.

Ferrari continues its remarkable return to endurance racing with back-to-back-to-back victories since rejoining the top class in 2023.

A Battle Until the End

From the green flag on Saturday afternoon to the final lap on Sunday, the race was a hard-fought contest between Ferrari, Porsche, Toyota, and Cadillac. Rain showers, multiple safety cars, and late-race drama kept fans on edge throughout the 24 hours. Ultimately, the AF Corse-run Ferrari showed consistency, speed, and resilience, traits that have defined its recent dominance at Le Mans.

A Modern Le Mans Classic

The 2025 race will be remembered not only for its close finish but for the emotional significance of the win. Kubica, who suffered a life-altering rally crash in 2011 that cut short his Formula 1 career, now joins an elite group of drivers who have claimed one of motorsport’s most coveted trophies.

“It’s a dream come true,” Kubica said after the race. “After everything I’ve been through, to stand here as a Le Mans winner is incredible.”

Looking Ahead

With manufacturers like Lamborghini, BMW, and Alpine also in the Hypercar field, the future of Le Mans looks bright. But for now, Ferrari stands atop the podium, once again proving their strength in the world’s greatest endurance race.
