Ferrari's relentless commitment to excellence saw the decade-defining Testarossa evolve to become the 512 TR as it entered the 1990s, and in 1994, reach its final incarnation as the F512 M. Introduced as the Testarossa had been at the Paris Salon, the F512 M-the “M” suffix standing for Modificata (Modified)-would not only be the last iteration of Ferrari's glorious 180-degree twelve-cylinder-powered supercar, but it would also be the rarest with only 501 examples built.

Delivered new in 1996 through official Ferrari dealer Eberlein Automobile GmbH of Kassel, Germany, this spectacular left-hand-drive, European-market F512 M was specified from the factory in timeless Rosso Corsa over sumptuous Nero leather. An invoice on file dated March 2004 shows that the car received its presently fitted carbon-fiber Recaro seats that were fitted to measure through Eberlein Automotive, an official Ferrari dealer, for the VIP owner and excellent marque client. Chassis 101551 was first registered to a Berlin-based company, which held the car for just 12 days before transferring ownership to its private proprietor. Three years later, it was acquired by a private collector in Germany's Rheingau region, before being returned to Ferrari Eberlein, from whom the current long-term caretaker purchased the car in 2001 with just 9,853 kilometers at the time.

Remarkably, the Ferrari has remained in this devoted ownership ever since, benefiting from 25 years of meticulous care. During that time, it was used primarily as intended on long-distance grand touring between cities including Frankfurt, Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, and Milan, underscoring the F512 M's impressive continent-crossing capability. Mechanically, the car is said to have proven faultless in current ownership, requiring only routine scheduled servicing, along with the replacement of a front brake assembly under warranty. Throughout current ownership, the car has been housed in a high-security, climate-controlled facility and was reportedly never driven in inclement weather, helping preserve its current exemplary cosmetic and mechanical condition. Furthermore, the most recent belt service was completed in autumn 2021, with only minimal mileage added since.

Accompanied by its original service book and comprehensive maintenance records, this highly cherished F512 M is offered today showing 71,970 kilometers. As the ultimate iteration of over two decades of mid-mounted, 180-degree “flat-twelve” development which began with the 365 GT4 BB in 1973, this outstanding F512 M is ready to be enjoyed on the open road.
